Matthew and Adrian - Surrey Couples Photographer

Matthew and Adrian were in Vancouver celebrating their wedding anniversary and I had the privilege of documenting the two of them together! They hadn’t gotten photos together since their wedding years ago, and it was so, so fun getting to photograph them, chat with them, and laugh with them. They were so easy to talk to and I am so happy to give them photographs capturing their relationship. This is what I believe: you don’t need a special occasion to celebrate your love; get photographs of you and your partner and rejoice in what you’ve built together!

Downtown Abbotsford Bridal Shoot

I looooove downtown Abbotsford. I love the shops, the food, and now - the graffiti walls in the back alleys, the cool staircases, and the string lights. If you want to do something different for your photoshoot and change it up from fields and tree-lines, then hit me up and let’s make some magic!

Bridal Session - Crescent Beach Wedding Photos

I got to participate in the most stunning bridal session during golden hour at Crescent Beach. It was amazing; the light was perfect, the looks were beautiful, and the couple was flexible and fun to photograph. I LOVE golden hour. If you want a golden hour shoot by the ocean, please know that I will be dyiiiiing of happiness to come photograph you there!

The Schoutens - Aldergrove Family Photographer

Family sessions - we love the photos on the wall, sharing them with our friends & family, sending them out as Christmas cards or announcements…but they can feel stressful. My approach to family sessions with your young kids is very simple - let’s just be. Let your toddlers be themselves!

I want to capture your family and the personalities there so you can look back at your images in a few years and laugh and say, ‘yup, that’s so-and-so alright.’ In the space of 20, 30, 40 minutes I promise we will get you the smiling family picture, and a few classic individual shots for the gallery wall and we will get you lots of candid, documentary style images of you and your favourite people just being together. My aim is to make this a no-stress, fun time for you and your kiddos. Bring their favourite toys, a blanket, maybe some fries - let them pick up sticks or flowers or wander where they think is interesting. I will guide you into poses, but mostly I will let you guys be yourselves; and I really believe you will love the results.

These are images of the Schoutens in their twenty minute family session - part of my spring minis this year! It was a joy to hangout with them and watch their toddler interact with his surroundings and his family.

Tianna & Liam - Aldergrove Couples Photographer

Tianna and Liam wanted to get some photos together to celebrate being together for one year, and I was more than happy to capture them together!! Tianna is one of my cousins and this is just one more way that being a photographer is the actual beset - I get to photograph people I love with the people they love, and I honestly think it’s hard to find a better job!

Dirk Bouwman - Newborn Photographer

I love love love love newborn in-home sessions. There is nothing like capturing those first few days, the tiny toes, the scrunched up forehead, the newborn hiccups and yawns, the love and adorations in mum and dad’s eyes, the sweet baby eyelashes. Capturing Dirk is especially special because Mekayla is one of my dearest friends and it is such a blessing to get to document her little family growing. Kyleigh and Wikus - Langley Engagement Photographer

This was such an amazing engagement session that was changed and re-scheduled so many times! We really wanted to do a sunset session by the river, but were having a challenging time with weather. We finally decided to do photos on the easter long weekend, rain or shine, and ended up at Sendall Gardens in Langley. I LOVE the botanical gardens. It’s such a beautiful spot, a great covered location for rain, and the whole park around is stunning. As it turns out, Kyleigh’s parents also had their engagement photos there, so it was meant to be! I am soooo freaking excited to document Kyleigh and Wikus’ wedding this summer; if this session is any indication, it’s going to be so beautiful and so fun!
